2015 has been a happy and successful year for me… but I feel conscious that this isn’t how everyone has experienced the year. The world isn’t always kind, and sometimes it feels like the problems of the world are insurmountable. However, I feel wholeheartedly that if we all make a little contribution to the issues we care about, that the world will become a little less cruel and a little bit more lovely. There are 7 billion people in the world – so if we all do one good thing, that’s 7 billion good acts that make the world a better place.
On my part, throughout 2016 I will be raising money for 12 different charities. Each month I will be fundraising for a different charity, which I will feature on here on my blog. In exchange for your donations, I will be giving away an art work.
Here’s how it works:
- For each £2 donated, you will be entered once into a draw to win an art work – so donate £10 and you’ll get five entries.
- At the end of the month, I’ll draw a name and get in touch with the winner to arrange delivery.
- And on my part, I will ensure that the art work you win will be of greater value than the total value of the amount donated. So if we raise £500, the art work on offer will be of a value of over £500.
- Please make sure that you share your email address when you donate so that I can get in touch with you if you win!
To get updates as the project progresses, you can subscribe to the RSS feed of this blog or enter your details and tick the button at the bottom of the page to subscribe to get emails when I make new posts. Please share this with your contacts and via your social media networks – I would love for this to be a massive success and to raise a lot of money for worthy causes. In a world with a lot of cruelty and suffering, I really do think it’s these small acts of kindness that can make a difference.
